The Muslim student association in conjunction with authorities of HBNU and student body celebrated ‘Eid-al-Adha’ festival on the 12th of September 2016 (i.e. 10th day of the last month of Islamic calendar) which commemorates Ibrahim being tested by God about 4000years ago to sacrifice his most prized possession his son Ishmael. According to the Quran, God came to Ibrahim in a dream and commanded him to kill his son "as an act of obedience. The medical council of India was enraged upon receiving news that some Indian students upon graduating high school are misled into applying into medical institutions which are not of international standard and quality especially in other countries in Asia, thus it released a provisional list of schools which are approved for India students yearning to study outside India. In this list, Hebei north university was approved as one of the medical institutions liable for students to  study MBBS in China . The decision to add HBNU to the list is due to its high standard of teaching and curriculum accredited by WHO and other international bodies. Diwali is a Hindu festival of light celebrated annually which spiritually signifies light prevailing over darkness, good over evil, knowledge ove  ignorance and hope over despair. It has a 5-day celebration period. HBNU is one of the  top medical universities in China . This year fell on the 31st October and students of HBNU were not left out of the celebration as there are religious Hindu students on campus the majority from India, Nepal and South Africa. Due to the medical college of HBNU having a really tight schedule the students could only celebrate for two days. The first day the head of the Hindu faithful’s made sure the students had a general cleaning of their hostel rooms as it was one of the traditions after which Diya’s were lit to start the celebrations. Universities in India require a common entrance test to be passed before enrolment into medical schools. However, this not the case with China-based universities, which require a result of your High School Exam certificate or its equivalent in qualifications.
