On 14th June, our school successfully conducted a new HSK examination. One hundred and ninety-three foreign students from different countries including Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Ghana, Mauritius, Sudan, Congo, Kenya, Tanzania and others sat for level 3 and 4 of the exams respectively. This has been the highest number of candidates recorded since the time the school first organized the HSK examination. The International Exchange Center and the University's Library staff being the organizers attached great importance to the exam, earnestly implementing the examination rules, organizing registration and system debugging of the test. The International Exchange Center also arranged experienced teachers to coach candidates for the exam. On June 11th, the Educational Counselor of the Embassy of Pakistan, Mr. Navid Hassan attended a symposium organized by Pakistani students of HBNU at the Shaw Auditorium on the second floor of the school library. The director of the International Education and Exchange Center Mr. Xu Tong presided over the forum. There were more than 160 Pakistani students in attendance. At the forum, Mr. Navid Hassan spoke to the students about the profound friendship between China and Pakistan and also about the history of the diplomatic relation among the Pakistani students. On the 24th of November 2016, ten international students of HBNU along with a teacher travelled to Shijiazhuang the capital of Hebei province to represent the school in a contest (the 10TH HEBEI PROVINCE FOREIGN STUDENTS CHINESE LANGUAGE SKILLS AND TALENT CONTENT PERFORMANCE) The program was hosted by Hebei normal university with sponsorship from the government. Hebei north university held the first session of foreign students’ sports competition from 30th April to 3rd May. There were 15 events in this sports competition including soccer, volleyball, cricket, running etc., and 9 interesting competition events. Every foreign student strove in the sports. On May 14th, the International Education Exchange Center arranged for foreign teachers--阿龙 in our school to give a lecture about the diagnosis of lung disease knowledge for 06 batch students majoring in clinical medicine. At the lecture, the teacher introduced lung disease transmission, clinical symptoms, diagnostic criteria, and how well the individual prevention works. He also introduced the methods and techniques of advanced treatment for lung diseases currently adopted in the classroom, and repeatedly explained it in fluent Chinese. On 27th April, Professor Kong Jiming of Manitoba University in Canada and Professor Zhong Guang Ming of Texas University in America were invited to Hebei North University to give an academic lecture.
