The medical council of India was enraged upon receiving news that some Indian students upon graduating high school are misled into applying into medical institutions which are not of international standard and quality especially in other countries in Asia, thus it released a provisional list of schools which are approved for India students yearning to study outside India. In this list, Hebei north university was approved as one of the medical institutions liable for students to  study MBBS in China . On the 24th of November 2016, ten international students of HBNU along with a teacher travelled to Shijiazhuang the capital of Hebei province to represent the school in a contest (the 10TH HEBEI PROVINCE FOREIGN STUDENTS CHINESE LANGUAGE SKILLS AND TALENT CONTENT PERFORMANCE) The program was hosted by Hebei normal university with sponsorship from the government. On October 28th, Roosevelt University in United States and HY International Group delegation visited Hebei North University. Hebei north university held the first session of foreign students’ sports competition from 30th April to 3rd May. The Foreign Students in Hebei North University participated in the Third Session of Chinese Skills Competition for Foreign Teachers and Students. The third session of Chinese language skills contest for foreign teachers and students was held on 21st December 2006, in the provincial capital--Shijiazhuang. More than 40 institutions; private schools and secondary schools, nearly 300 foreign teachers and students participated in the event. On May 14th, the International Education Exchange Center arranged for foreign teachers--阿龙 in our school to give a lecture about the diagnosis of lung disease knowledge for 06 batch students majoring in clinical medicine. At the lecture, the teacher introduced lung disease transmission, clinical symptoms, diagnostic criteria, and how well the individual prevention works. He also introduced the methods and techniques of advanced treatment for lung diseases currently adopted in the classroom, and repeatedly explained it in fluent Chinese. Diwali is a Hindu festival of light celebrated annually which spiritually signifies light prevailing over darkness, good over evil, knowledge ove  ignorance and hope over despair. It has a 5-day celebration period. HBNU is one of the  top medical universities in China . This year fell on the 31st October and students of HBNU were not left out of the celebration as there are religious Hindu students on campus the majority from India, Nepal and South Africa. Due to the medical college of HBNU having a really tight schedule the students could only celebrate for two days. The first day the head of the Hindu faithful’s made sure the students had a general cleaning of their hostel rooms as it was one of the traditions after which Diya’s were lit to start the celebrations. Lots of sweets were shared amongst themselves and Puja(prayer)was made. The following day was the much awaited Diwali feast and talent show which was held at the “Annex B of Zhangjiakou International Hotel”.

On 27th April, Professor Kong Jiming of Manitoba University in Canada and Professor Zhong Guang Ming of Texas University in America were invited to Hebei North University to give an academic lecture. Professor Kong Jiming graduated from The First Military Medical University, and he learned from professor Zhong Shizhen, one of the founders of modern clinical anatomy. After graduation, he engaged himself in postdoctoral research in the United States and Canada and he is now a tenured professor in Manitoba University, Canada. Hebei north university held a prasie meeting for the kind behaviors of the foreign students from Pakistan in the multi-media hall at 4:30 pm, 27th March. At 4 pm 12th December, our school held a grand opening ceremony for 2007 students in the academic hall on the six floor. On the morning of April 27th, International Education Exchange Center organized more than 50 students from Pakistan, India, Afghanistan, Ghana, Nigeria, Kazakhstan, Denmark, South Africa and other countries to participate in the new campus planting activities. At 5:00pm in the evening of November 30th, the International Education Exchange Center of Pakistani students organized a party to celebrate Eid al Aadhar on the seventh floor of the Blue Whale Hotel. They held the party in the conference hall. All the teachers at the International Education Exchange Center were present at the party, with two hundred Pakistani students and six foreign teachers. At 9am of 23rd April, Zhangjiakou city started a series of public welfare activities launch ceremony, with the topic of "You and I Should Come Together to Help Bid for The Winter Olympic Games " that saw thousands of people walking in the square. April 11th to 14th, the provincial ninth session of the "Hebei light" Chinese skills competition for foreign teachers and students was held in Hebei Normal University. On March 29th, the first clinical medical college of young volunteers in Hebei North University attended Hebei farmers' channel photo collection of voluntary service activities in Yin Zuo Zone. On the day of activities, there was drawing of lottery and photo collection activities which both needed WeChat platform, but many people were not familiar with the procedures for participating and photo printing methods so our young volunteers explained patiently to the people. Although some problems were reported many times, volunteers always smile and patiently explained to the citizens to participate in the activities and experienced the fun. To bid for winter Olympic games together with Beijing in 2022, the university organized a series of activities to enrich the campus life of our students. In 2015, our school had more than 2012 students participate in the Spring Festival Gala live performances and programs recorded in Zhangjiakou.
